Vaillant Ecotec plus

Hi there,

Hoping someone out there can help me.
I have a vaillant ecotec plus boiler
No hot water
No central heating
Loud clicking noise coming from boiler
Display is flashing between 0degrees & 0.0 bar
When I hold down the minus key to check actual pressure it says 2.5bar
Pressure gauge is in dark grey zone
No fault codes have been displayed

Hope you can help, cold showers are awful!

If you bleed the highest radiators on the system, does water or air dissipate from the valve?

It seems odd and could be a faulty sensor or even PCB.

But neither are DIY repairs as the boiler is a room sealed unit.

You could try adding some more pressure and see what effect that has.

But you are likely to need an engineer. With cold weather an early request might be a good idea.
