Vaillant EcoTec810 plus Heating Not Working

See the last zoomed in pic 1.4mb.
It's like a big jubilee clip. The ends are digging into the boiler housing.

The housing for that r d clip is totally loose I didn't even yank it, it's ready to come off.

Pins seem straight.

Yep, still looks ok to me. That’s just the circlip that Vaillant use, I feel it’s touching (not digging into the metal) then it’s fully home.

Except you seem to be missing 2. There’s usually 4, possibly more, I only see 2. I’ve had a few where they’ve been bashed about, yours looks the same. Lack of pins, means lack of motor movement. You need to send the motor back to whoever sold it to you and or ask for a replacement.

Not sure how your engineer managed to get hot water. Either they damaged the pins or they ran the boiler in P1, which by some fluke gave hot water.

There's 4 pins. Camera is just rubbish.

Says he's going to check the motor tomorrow and see if diverter is opening closing.

Not sure if I should call someone else at this point. I'll see what he diagnoses as tomorrow if obvious go with the fix. If still trial and error perhaps call someone else.

Ok, I’d go with letting him have a chance to repair it.
