Hi, we have a Valliant ecotec II Plus 637.

Following service my boiler is showing Summer Mode symbol like an umbrella.

Issue is that the hot water seems also to not be working.

I found the instructions how to turn Summer Mode off.

1. Am I allowed to change this setting or does this need engineer?

2. In deactivating instructions it says to set 'required heating flow temperature'. What level should I set that at?

3. Should Summer Mode be effecting my hot water?

Sorry if this is laughable question. Is it in any way possible that installer connected hot water to CH outlet so hot water effected summer mode?

Summer mode is to prevent heating coming on and allow just hot water, not all boilers have room stats. If you turn stat down you don't need summer mode.

Thanks.
I will deactivate it and see if it helps.
What should I set the heating flow temperature at?

Set temp to 70 - 75c, have you checked if theres pressure in the system?

And the hot water temp setting is turned up? Have you got no hot water at all?

Yes hot water on by programmer.

I have noticed that there is no hot water icon (tap icon) only the heating icon on right side.

Is this normal?

I can't get to the hot water setting. There is no hot water icon on the screen... I only got the heating icon on right hand side. The shows me pressure and allows me to change heat level.

I have taken off summer mode.
