Ferroli HE summer/winter setting

Hi, I'm new to this type of thing, my boilers on constant hot water and heating, I want to set it to summer mode so I only have hot water on demand. The summer/winter setting doesn't work, I press it for 1-3 seconds and the icon doesn't show up, if I hold it down it will
reset, so the button works. Any one know why it won't work?

It's a Ferroli...the summer/winter switch not working will shortly be the least of your problems.
