You've already taken the range rating off and proved that is a complete red herring. Now someone has puffed up their chest and you are going to put it back on...........welcome to the forum.
The range rating was never in question of being the ops problem, but it is an issue left unchecked in most bigger versions of these boilers and the OP is quite right to have it set to where it should be.
I had initially set range rating to 16 because that is what Valliant's customer support said to do. Although I don't think it is making much of a difference at the moment whether it is auto or 16
