Valliant pump issue

Whats the 428?, is that the glow-worm hxi?. Never been able to tell the difference between one vaillant and another as they call them all virtually the same thing.

4-series is heat only
6-series is System
8-series is combi

Had jerry rigged the pump to a switch so that I could at least get some hot water - not entirely ideal but needs must (an all manual op - timer was switched off)

When i came back to measure the voltage this morning - nice 250v supply going to the pump.

The only thing that's been touched is the green pump connector - so i suspect there's a dry joint on the connector.

Am going to pop out the board and check it over.

Post the results....rare to see dry joints on a Vaillant board, plenty of other problems though.

Test from earth to the pump neutral and then earth to pump live!

Of course you should not be removing the boiler cover!

That's the gas tight seal which makes the boiler room sealed.

Only an RGI should be opening that.
