Had a problem with my old vauxhall 1993 cavalier dashboard lights.
Air bag light came on and stayed on,, alternator light and sport mode light kept flashing. This made my car drive in slow mode and use more petrol than usual and not forgetting the smell of rotten eggs..
Took it to a garage and they replaced the cat converter and O2 sensor.. Ouch that was expensive..
Problem flashing sport mode was still there..
Started the car to take it back to garage and battery was flat. Jump started it and got garage to test alternator and battery. Alternator was dead and so was my battery.. Garage fitted a recon alternator and brand new battery.. At last my problem was solved.. Dashboard lights don't flash anymore and the car goes like a rocket ... My purse is empty but my car is running great..
