Errr who knows but I don't think the turbocharger is very well at the moment......did you overfill the oil level? It sounds like the engine is running on its own lubricating oil.

Diesel engines can consume their own engine oil.....if a turbo oil seal fails then oil is ingested and the engine speeds up until eventual destruction.
The same can apply if the level is very high - oil vapour and liquid is expelled through the breather pipes and into the air intake with the same consequences, often enough.
If you are quick the engine can be stalled......whats the state with yours now?
