Hello.

I renovating a Solid Wall Town House from around 1850's.

It has no form ventilation at present. Haven't seen any air-bricks beneath the floorboards either.

What form of Ventilation should i install in the rooms? Burrow a hole and apply a grill inside/ outside? Is that the norm?

What about a RH sensitive ventilation system?

Any advice and tips on how to lessen condensation/ damp etc... would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Uncontrolled ventilation is a big no,no at the moment. If you have wooden floors then the space under them will need ventilation to stop them rotting. As for the main house, extract fans for the cooker and bathroom. Also the tumble drier will need its own permanent vent. For general ventilation, either use windows or a Positive ventilation system that blows air in from the loft, though be careful of any thermostat setting or you will be trying to heat your house with electricity.
