Hi - In clearing out some old shelving etc, I have discovered a copper piping joint which has a patina of verdigris. There is no sign of past or present leakage. Is this something which can be safely cleaned up/repaired in some way, or does it mean the pipe is now structurally unsound..?

Many thanks for any advice.

does this mean like a green furry substance on it ? if this is the case then it will be flux residue use a bit of wire wool on it and it will be fine.

if its like a yellow crusty lime deposit its been leaking at sum point and sealed its self may need replacing dont clean it as it could start leaking again
