Veritas 8 Alarm - Reflex PIR problem

Hi,

I have an Veritas 8 alarm system that is less than a year old, when trying to set the alarm this will not set as the panel shows PIR 4 (living room) lit up. On checking it it seems that this PIR is frozen, the red led is constantly on I have made sure that there is nothing in the path that could be setting it off but the LED just never goes off. Is there a way I can reset this PIR? I thought about opening it and just disconnecting and reconnecting the wires but didn't want to trip the alarm or cause more problems. Any help would be appreciated.

Take lid/cover off the zone 4 pir
Disconnect 0volts from pir for a few seconds then reconnect 0volts
Put lid back on and reset alarm panel with code and press reset.
Walk test zone 4 by walking across room,if pir winks, try and set alarm
If pir stays lit up then faulty pir and replace it.
