VERITAS ALARM

After having some building work done I re connected a pir. On setting the system it times out then goes in to alarm showing tamper fault. I have linked out the tamper in the panel but still makes no difference. Any ideas please. Beginning to think it may be the bell box wire that has been damaged.it is a veritas r8

yes. every thing is normal when unset. pir lights work a s normal bell box lights flash as normal. the system has been powered bu tnot set for a while due to the building work. my next plan of action will be to disconnect all zones and try one at a time and bell out the bell box cable. just wondered if anyone had come across this before

Tamper check following ....panel lid ... Bell tamper ( link out ) leave the 0volts in , keypads if any lid on , battery in panel ( how old is it? ) if it's a standard veritas ( not R8 plus ) zones have nothing to do with it unless programmed for 24 hr but will show as a zone !

thanks sparky,the panel is 12 months old. I will check al those things
