Veritas alarm - permanently omit zone

Hi all,

I've stumbled across this forum as I've been looking for some help with my alarm. I believe it is a veritas v8

Everything works fine. We have 3 zones, one of which is a door contact which I want to remove permanently. We find it annoying that we keep having to close the door to alarm the house.

Is there a setting that I can change so that it always omits a zone eg if I just press Full.

I'd prefer a software solution but I'm happy to get stuck into wiring if the solution is not just a few buttons presses away.

Remove it from the zone in the panel and fit a link in its place ..

at a loss why you want to set the alarm with the door open

Oh it is a bedroom door with a contact. I don't need that being shut every time we go out.
