Veritas R8

I have recently moved house and the alarm system is a Veritas R8. I have printed off the user guide and have the pin code.

However, I can't change the pin code. The instructions say enter pin code then press 'prog' and all the lights should come on. This is as far I've got as when I've entered the pin and pressed 'prog' I get a warning beep and the lights stay off.

This means I also cannot perform the walk test or tes the sounders and strobe.

Do I have a different version R8, or is there another pin code that should be used?

Any help would be gratefully received.

Got a response from TEXE. I have an older panel and the method to change the code is:

old code-00-01-new code-prog-reset

I have recently changed house and have inherited the same unit - without an operating manual.

You mention you printed off the manual. Where do I go to get a copy? Presumably it's downloadable.
