Hi I have initially searched this forum but could not find an answer.

Our builders removed the bell from our burglar alarm to carry out some work. We put the bell back and the unit seemed fine. There was no tamper light. However none of the PIR sensors work anymore. There are no lights on any of them. I've just done a walk test and seven of the eight zones are were lit up red. However there are still no lights on any of the PIR's. Anyone have any ideas? The manual is silent on this. The alarm is old, not sure how old, definitely more than 5 years.

Thanks

fuse blown or shorted.

if glass fuses its blown (may still be shorted), if poly fuses it is shorted. once issue resolved poly will be fine but glass fuse will need replacing.

Thank you. Forgive my ignorance but which is the glass fuse and which is the poly? The fuse spur external to the panel or the one inside the panel?

open the panel and the fuses are will be either glass fuse or a poly fuses on the PCB depending on age of panel.
