Hi, weve recently moved into a new house. At somepoint the boiler has been moved from the kitchen to the garage. When moved the old flue has been left connected but as far as i can tell not capped (it's connected to an old storage cupboard).

With the torrential rain i have noticed dripping from the flue, as its non operation im assuming we can get a roofer in to remove and cap the thing?

If the flue is no longer used by any appliance then there is no reason it needs to remain. What material is the flue made of? Be careful if its old and contains asbestos.A pic would help.

As long as the flue is NO LONGER used/connected to any appliance then it would serve no purpose as a flue and can be removed.I would get a RGI to look and advise to 100% sure.
