I have a Viessman boiler that was installed around a year and a half ago and is now overdue the service.

I called the installer who advised a price of £78.

I am also getting a new bathroom in just now and the plumber said he would do it for £35 and is Gas Safe registered.

Do I have to get a Viessman approved person to carry out service to keep the 5 year warranty valid?

Thanks in advance.

As an installer I would say go with your installer of the boiler.
Yes it is more expensive, but he may have more knowledge of those boilers than the guy at £35
IMHO
Plus as your service is overdue the warranty may be invalid anyway.

Better to get it serviced by the installer.

But if you must use the bathroom fitter then make sure he has a flue gas analyser. Bit like a large mobile phone with tubes!

The requirements for the warranty are that it is installed, used and serviced properly. This is for domestic applications only. Any competent service person can do it.
