My mother had a vinyl floor fitted yesterday, i know with stuff perfection may not be achievable but this stuff look horrendous!
Is it possible to trim it so it fits flush to skirting? This stuff seems lipped up as if its a few mmm too big.
Bubble along all the edges, had used spray adhesive from the overspray on the cladding but non of it is stuck.
Fitted over new floor levelling compound, i did ring shop to ask if it needed to prime it and they said no.
Some corners etc are splits coming out, pattern not matching up on join, and out of square by 30mm per 6ft run so the herringbone not parallel to wall.
Just what i need when new kitchens being fitted on sat.
So question is to experienced people on here is can this be sorted or is the only way to refit new stuff?
Thx

Shocking fitting that. The whole floor that size should be fully glued down. Better to cut the vinyl 1-2mm short then a clear silicone the perimeter. It’s nearly impossible to pattern match the colours in herringbone. Last time I did one I did the joint zig zag so you couldn’t see the joint.

After measuring the kitchen myself i found that the 4m width would of ended up 30cm from each wall (L shaped kitchen)
Instead they cut some off the edge on the **** so a joint was then required, so amongst other probs when straight edge of units is in will see the zig zags are way out of square.
They coming to inspect it tommorow, in my eyes needs taking out as scrapped, shame it will then have to be refitted when kitchens in aa being put in on sat.
Thanks for confirming its a **** job
