Viper GLX with Contact - Am I going MAD

Hi

Viper GLX with integral contact, I have had two from the supplier, and each one is not doing what I know it should do, so I just want a sanity check:

1) With no power applied, the alarm cct is closed circuit when a magnet is placed near the reed, I thought that removal of power would generate an alarm condition, am I wrong?

2) With power applied the LED goes out on vibration detection but the alarm cct does not go O/C, is their a setting or a link that I have missed to make this alarm on detection of vibration or is it simply U/S and I've had a bad batch?

Solved, my own fault using a stronger magnet also pulled in the reed relay when testing, oh well, back to rocking on the porch!
