You have not given a very good description of the fault! My crystal ball says possibly the plate heat exchanger scaled if this model has one. I'm not that familiar with these.

flowmatic deosnt have a plate h/e dave......its got a tubular one....nice try though :D

its unlikely to be scale up in the soft water highlands either.

OP will have to give more info.

Thats why I was cautious with my reply

you admit your failings like a true gent though.

certain other contributors would have dived right in.

As I always say, a spades a spade with me, if I right then usually I know I am, but if in doubt or unsure I always admit it openly. I don't feel I have anything to prove, only to keep learning ;)

Rather than guessing what the laird means, I think it would be better to wait until he explains just what he means by "pressure".

Some people muddle pressure and flow!

There is one a short distance from me with a very poor FLOW rate but he does not want to pay to get it improved and I have already spent several hours working on his boiler to try to improve the performance without fitting any new parts.

Of course DP speaks Scottish and may be able to understand what the fault is.

Tony

There is a gauge on the front panel that says Pressure "ensure water pressure is maintained between 1 and 1.5" It currently stands at 0.5.
Thanks to all of you for your advice

Look for the filling loop, normally silver braid pipe, with a lever or screwdriver slot at one end, top up pressure to 1.2 bar.
