My brother has a Vokera combination boiler that keeps losing pressure, a chap did look at it and said there was a fair bit of crap inside. He cleaned it up but still keeps losing pressure. Does it look like the end of the end of this or fixable ?

I don't expect you to be a Psychic but a lot of people who know plumbing with give a general view, rather than a specific diagnosis which i know is not possible, your flippant remark is not appreciated so don't waste your time making it, move on. I was merely asking about this boiler losing pressure, someone may have a bit more knowledge than you on this boiler (very much doubt it though).

Why is that AGAS ?, i ask a question and get a flippant remark back. People register to this site because you can ask a question and get an answer from someone in that specific trade to which you are not an expert yourself. Many questions on here have hundreds of views and a few answers so people are not compelled to answer.

A Model would have been helpful to give a clue as to the problem......However due to your reply .....GRFO !!!!!

boiler type might help , you won't get help from these good people with attitude like that

There you go Terry, that is all that was needed, to ask for a model number. As i can see, you don't like flippant remarks either. it's a 2 way street of which i have never seen on this website before. Best we leave it there i guess. You are correct AGAS, i have not had anything other than great help off people on here.

well pay someone to have a look for you, its amazing being polite can get you further in life, try it , its boring me now

Getting back to the issue, the boiler is a Vokera Syntesi 29e. It does have a slight drip from the pipe outside which i assume could be the vent line from a PRV ?, guess this could lead to a drop in pressure. As i said before, a guy did look at it and said a fair bit of crap in the system as no filter. Is this issue likely to resolve itself with a good flush of the system. Thanks

The PRV needs replacing and the likely culprit is the expansion vessel.
Also it needs cleaning and or a filter fitting.
So now you need a boiler engineer, who will tell you the same, so this middle bit that you are doing now, is pointless.

Thanks, already have a guy lined up to come out but just wanted an opinion. If everybody just phoned an engineer every time then you will not learn anything and also it would make this site pointless, is also sometimes weeks to get someone.
