vokera excell 80 s.p

well thanks for being an adult now and talking like an engineer. having not worked on many vokera boilers i phoned up the so called experts who talked me through the fault finding and it was vokera who said it was the modulator and the p.c.b . thatnks but i have 5 other engineers who work for me and at the age of 23 think thats pritty good.

cheers

haha when did this site get all these comedians??? well not been in front of the boiler at this moment in time and doing 8 repairs a day you do tend to forget a few things, there are no restrictions in the flow in h/w and ch sides as for the parts when i phoned voker they talked me throgh the fault finding they said the p.c.b and modulator were at fault. smart a**e

so if you have no comments that would help you shouldnt be on this site

thats surprising as every time i have phoned vokera they haven't failed to diagnose it right.

Thought we were meant to be responsible on this site and not give out advice that could affect gas safety. That was the whole reason for the combustion chamber so that any RGI could ask the question there and get technical advice from those capable.

From the details so far any competent engineer would not be asking many of these basic questions. And as someone else has said and can verify that vokera technical have never been wrong in all the times i have had to ask their advice.

as has also been pointed out not everyone is or wants to be a member of the CC, im not.

maybe your right and he does not want to join the cc but then again maybe he not really corgi, that is a lot of parts gone into that boiler and my worry is the customer will pay for it when i have seen no valid reason as yet to change any of those parts

me to, i think if it works fine in hotwater mode and is not cutting out at all then the problem is hydraulics, ie water can not get away from the boiler, but i would run it in hotwater mode for a few mins and if it runs fine it eliminated most of the parts that have already been fitted, however ifit is cutting out in hotwater mode check aps, fan, tubes venturi, still notice no reply on who is paying for all those parts? customer i guess and i think that is wrong

Not necessarily, but I don't think it should take a boiler engineer long to find out as long as the problem is always there.

end of the day we would have checked aps venturi etc agreed? which i said in my first post to him could be the fault, my arguement is the amount of parts his already fitted and who is going to pay for them, as his not posted back am guessing the poor customer, wont it be bad if it all works fine after cleaning the fan etc and all those parts where not needed?

If OP is a heating engineer (and a good one like he claims to be), I would suggest he reads the manual and gets to know the boiler. At 8 calls a day, he should be fault finding blindfolded and not be a part changer.

Strange OP resides in Lanarkshire and is not familiar with this make of boiler. Excels and Flowmatics were boilers of choice as Vokera have a depot in Maryhill where until recently members of public could buy any spare over the counter.

8 calls a day could easily make him BG. that means his skill is entirely hit or miss.

all say for this site is that its mostly arseholes like fazedup who are on it and for the parts we cover the boiler so the cutomer want have to fork out anything, out of all the repairs the company has done this has been the worst case we have came across, thats why we called vokera not much help just like this forum
