Hello all.

I've just moved into a house which has a Vokera Excell 80E combi Boiler and Im having problems getting the DHW to work.

When the central heating is on, all that I get from the hot taps throughout the house is luke warm water. It never gets hotter, yet the rads seem to work fine.

When the CH is off and I try to draw hot water from the taps all I get is cold water. Am I right in saying that when a hot water tap is turned on the the boiler should fire up and produce the hot water? If so, the boiler has no reaction when hot water is drawn.

Even when the dial is set to DHW, nothing happens. The boiler only seems to work when its set to CH and DHW

Am I not using the boiler correctly or is there a fault etc?

Im new to combi boilers and dont have any knowledge of them so your help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks
Gareth

These models are a bit of a job and sensitive to lack of service. Best thing to do is to find a local chap that knows these and ask him to do a full service

Better to get him to repair the diaphragm unit !

I have been told that this problem could be due to a faulty Diverter Valve.

Could this be the problem?

What is the purpose of the diaphram unit?

Many Thanks

It will need a DHW diaphragm and the diverter insides changing.

A service kit is available to do the job.

If the dv has stuck the ch flow pipe will be getting hot when you run a hot tap.
