Hi,
I need a new boiler urgently but have limited funds.

I done a bit of research (don't know if I have done it correctly!) and have found the Vokera Linea 30he and Glowworm 30cxi quite cheaply and within my budget.

After reading loads of topics I would like a Worcester but this is not possible due to expense. (Could maybe stretch to a Worcester Greenstar 28 Junior - but am unsure if this is adequate as the Vokera Linea 30he or Glowworm 30cxi seem to have higher specifications).

Which boiler would you suggest I purchase the Vokera Linea 30he or Glowworm 30cxi?

3 bedroom house, one bathroom, 3 sinks and around 10 radiators.

Thanks for any help

I have a non condensing Vokera Linea 28 combi in my house, and spend a lot of my working time with Glow Worm 30Cxi boilers..so whats my conclusion ?

My Vokera has been in since Nov 2000 and has never missed a beat, and the Vokera boilers I service (Mynute 10 SEs mainly) have few problems. I am not familiar with the current Linea condensing range.

The Glow Worm 30Cxi had a few teething problems when we first started installing them over two years ago, but with a few engineering upgrades we now find them pretty trouble free, and not bad quality these days.

So my conclusion is.......get a decent installer and you will most likely be happy with either. This may sound flippant, but its not meant to be.

Hope this helps..I'm not going to make the decision for you and get blamed if it all goes pear shaped.

I agree with the above, I have had a Vokera linea 28 that was put in tin 1998 and it has never skipped a beat, never even taken the case off it.

The early gloworm CXi's were pretty poor and had many modifications to get to where they are now, which is a half decent boiler.

The Linea HE like most other Vokeras, i rate quite highly BUT it really does depend on how well it is installed and commisioned.
