Volvo Service light

Had my Volvo 2002 S60 D5 serviced by a competant Mech but he couldnt get the Service message to reset after following the set procedure.

Now each time i turn on the ignition i still get the message Time for regular service.

Any ideas anyone ?

Turn ignition key to position 1

Press and hold reset button (down and left of speedo)
Immediately switch ignition ON
Keep reset button pressed until service message has been reset
Release reset button within 4 seconds. There will be an audible signal
when reset is complete.
If reset is not released within 4 seconds, the service interval indicator
will NOT be reset
