VW golf mk 4 P reg

Hi I have a 1.9D VW Golf (P reg), once I have driven the car and then stopped, turn off the engine, got back in a few minutes later I turn the key, the engine turns over but the car does not start, however if I wait for 10-15 mins it will start, can anyone help!!

hi, any history? high milage? how long has this been going on for?

Do you know the cars history, family, or off a trader?

Hi the mileage is 101000, has been regularly serviced and has had 1 car owner from new, the problem has been going on for about 2-3 weeks, that all I know really. Sorry I can't give you anymore info.

Coolant temp sender probably. Not expensive and easy to change.

P reg would have been a mk3 not a mk4
