I intend to tile both floor and walls of a small cloakroom. At present there is a 75mm skirting board all round, would I be better off removing this and tiling wall tile to floor tile or should I leave the skirting board on?

Personally I think it looks better without skirting. If you leave the skirting and tile onto it, 9 times out of 10 the tile will sit proud of the skirting and look pretty ropey.

if you have not done much tiling before then rip off the skirting and replace/ re-fit when done as it will hide your slightly uneven edges and save a wide dirt magnet ugly grout joint.

If you don't find it too expensive buy a wet cutter (try Wickes) and cut 75mm skirting tiles.
This will look neat and easy to keep clean.
