Hello all :)

Never built anything big before.

I'm want to build a masonry 15m2 outbuilding as a gym. I want to use the building
all year round and I can imagine a lot of body heat being generated. I plan to have an
electric heater too for winter.

I have two wall designs I would appreciate some advice on:

Plan 1. My ideal exterior wall would be standard 7n blocks with render. A
50mm air cavity, 50mm kingspan, wall ties to thermalite, vapor barrier, then dot and dabbed plasterboard. Cavity would be ventilated and have weep holes.

Plan 2. Or I am wondering if that is overkill and I go with a rendered single leaf block wall, batten it out and then apply duplex plasterboard which includes the vapor barrier and insulation in it.

This sounds cheaper, easier and could give me more interior space. However being a gym I may be limited
in fixing heavy duty stuff to the walls as easily.

How would you do it and can you foresee some pitfalls?

thanks
