Hi,

I have 2 wall lights and a ceiling light in a bedroom, controlled by a 2 way switch. I want to remove the wall lights completely. If I re-route the wall light cables to 2 round pin sockets and put round pin plugs on 2 table lamps, these can then be controlled by the switch on the wall, which will eventually become a dimmer.

Is there any reason why this cannot be done??
Cheers.

sounds ok. remember to route cables in plaster either up/across, not diagonal. Also, dont fit energy savers to the table lamps if they are on a dimmer.

cable runs shoul be vertical not horzontal /diagonal, and protect cables with capping before plastering
