Hi
we bought a couple of wall lights not realising that they were fitted with a plug. Can I cut the plugs off and extend the cable to the ceiling rose.
Thanks

What kind of wall light comes with a flex and plug?

Anyway - you'd be better off removing the entire cable and connecting them with an unbroken length to the rose. If you do join a new length on to extend remember that the junction box should be accessible.

I have, and my house contains a number of their products. Including luminaires.

I've learned to take absolutely no notice of their instruction not to open packages from the self-service shelves before buying, and how to modify their products to make them sturdier.

As long as you accept their limitations, there's nothing much wrong with their stuff, apart from kitchens (not sure I'd trust them for a sofa or bed though).

But I've never seen wall lights with a flex & plug....
