Hi there,
I've had a look through previous topics and don't think this questions been asked before.

I live in a bungalow and want to change the boiler from a floor standing to a wall mounted. This will mean that the boiler will be the same height as the hot water tank.

Will this cause any issues with the water flow between the boiler and tank ?

Thanks

No problems the water in the system will be circulated by way of a pump

Thanks for the quick response.

At the moment it there isn't a pump on the system, only on the heating side, so I suppose it would be a gravity fed system. Are you saying I would need to change it to a fully pumped system?

This has slipped down a bit now, so I thought I'd push it up again.

Anyone else have any other views on the height difference between the boiler and tank for the water to flow correctly through the tank coil and back to the boiler.

Thanks in advance
Paul

If you are changing the boiler the system ought to be made fully pumped to comply with building regs. If you are changing to a wall mounted boiler, I think it needs to be pumped so the boiler is not put under too much stress. These boilers usually require a pump overrun so the boiler isn'rt damaged.
