I have bought a 37 inch Samsung LCD TV. Apparently it weighs 18kg, so not actually that heavy. I want to wall mount it in my new flat but the wall where it needs to go is an internal wall and isnt solid. I thought it may have wooden beams to locate but Ive been told it went up with a metal frame to support the plaster boards.
Is it safe to hang a TV like this from these walls? Is it easy? And if so how do I do it.
Any replies please put in very basic terms as I am DIY novice.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Would be very careful .... the plasterboard is not very strong at all and could easily tear ... can you fix into the metal frame ? It should be easy to find with a detector and will also be pretty strong. Our office has this type of walls and we have hung radiators on it by finding the supports and spanning them with a metal strip ... with a big TV you may be able to mount a piece of wood to two of the steel supports then hang the TV onto this .... at least it should be easy to drop the cables into the wall so they are hidden !
