Then why is the plate so low? You normally have around 300mm to the ceiling.

No, but the inner flange likely works in composite with a body of masonry built above it and not a cut down slither piece of block.

From your photo, that lintel height looks to be around 2100, which is a normal height. So the plate looks low.

Anyway, if those must be the heights, you'll need to alter the lintel type. That one looks way over specified for such a small span.

Are you sure its meant to be an LB1 lintel and not an IG L1 lintel? Its showing 3 different lintels over the windows - Would probably be best with just one long one? What lintel have you installed?

They have asked for an L1/S (IG?) over the bifold... I fitted a heavy duty over mine but it had a pitched roof sitting on it.
