Hi,

Hoping I can get advice. I have just removed the wallpaper from my lounge wall. My plan is to repaint it but I'm not sure what to do next... it is mostly smooth with some paint chipped off (some larger than others). I think in one very small place the plaster has come off. Can I use filler, sand down, prime and then paint?

Any help/suggestions gratefully received!

Thanks,

Jo

Yes that'll work. I'd sugar soap thoroughly to remove old paste too.

More time on prep will produce a better finish.

I had some fery uneven /cracked walls.

I found the crack paint from b&q a very good base coat priot to painting once i had prepped the walls after stripping old paper.

As said above, prep is key with filling and sanding, but the crack paint makes it a little easier.
