I just installed a new switch for the electric shower and the red light indicator in permanently on, even when the switch is in the off position. Checked wiring and it seems fine. Maybe it's normal with this particular switch, can't see a make on the casing. Can anyone confirm that it is normal? Thanks

No it's not normal. You've wired the supply and the load to the wrong terminals.

Not normal, the light should only come on when the switch in "ON" Suggest that whoever wired wired it up fitted the incoming cable into the "out" terminals rather than the "in" ones

You have terminated your load and supply in reverse.
"Load Out" are the cables going to the shower
"Supply In" are the cables coming from the consumer unit.
