wall ties and window reveal

Hi guys.

I have a question regards to the strength of the window reveal skins. The double skin walls were capped off using sliced up house bricks. These have been removed to stop damp tracking.

Now I just want to see if anything should be done to strengthen the two skins back together at the reveals, ties somehow?. Going to fill the cavity with celotex and expanding foam before overboarding.
