thanks guys i appreciate the advice. the reason i'm thinking of 1700 is that my downstairs is a through lounge which has been extended. one extended wall has kitchen units all the way along. the other wall which is bare was plastered by a butcher and the outline of the breeze blocks can be felt as well as seen through the paper.
so as it is a straight wall perhaps i could paper with 1700 and maybe use
1400 or even 1200 on the rest. what do you think.
