Hello.

I just installed a laminate floor (real newbee when it comes to home improvement - bought first home!!) and now want to put add the trim/border around the wall. Im going to HomeDepot today to get a Compound Miter Saw (nothing expensive!).

Can anyone offer any advice, good web links, etc... on how to cut the trim around the walls? The room has a fireplace as well so Im alittle nervous about all of the corners I need cut

thanks..

before you do all that have you left an expansion gap all
the way round   :?:

secure the trim to wall edging not the floor
take your time start with longest lengths first
if you make a mistake it will fit elswear

just take your time measure twice cut once

have two 5 inch bits off your molding with an external angle end
and an internal the other end at 45% so you can put them together
to see if the angle needs to be increased or decreased
to give you a tight mitre at each individual corner
youll be luck to get any at exactly 90%

big all
