Latest escalation is USA and of course UK taking embassy families out. EU ones remain and have added 1.2b aid which they now given the withdrawal are more in need of. The Ukrainian gov is not at all happy about the families leaving. They reckon it makes the situation look worse than they think it really is. The EU reckons they have no need to do the same as well.

The UK is threatening to remove embassy staff - wasn't very clear from where.

The media love to escalate & pump out bullsh*t about Russia. I remember a few years ago, the news announced "A Russian Aircraft carrier is currently traversing the north sea, weapons trained on England, as it makes its way to join its 12 sister Aircraft carriers in the Gulf" What a load of nonsense. Russia only has 1 Carrier, the Admiral Kuznetsov, it`s an old rust bucket remnant from the cold war, it`s ready for the scrapyard, it pumps out so much smoke & sh*t, you wouldn't need radar to find it. Propaganda, sabre rattling & bullsh*t. But, poke the bear, & gas will treble in price.
