Due to the sheer weight of all my clothes the pole holding my clothes has collapsed in wardrobe. Shall I buy something which I can attach with bolts to wardrobe sides underneath pole to hold it up. And also might get a metal pole as it's stronger, but dunno where. The wooden one seems to be bending

Gonna put two bolts through the thin piece of ply and side of cupboard and two through the end bits which hold up the bar. Are the bokts two thin? I was gonna snap them off with plyers

I think you'll be going some to cut through the bolts with pliers - consider cutting them to length first.
A centre prop from rail to the wardrobe floor would solve the weight issues.

Buying some is the better option.

Round-headed bolts on the inside will prevent snagging.

The oval metal tubes are very strong.

If you have a modern wardrobe only 500mm deep, and you have man-size jackets and coats on proper hangers, they may not quite fit. If you position the tube a couple of inches more towards the back, they will automatically swivel the hangers when they touch it, so your jackets are hanging slightly diagonally and the door will close.

I use this steel bar.
Won't bend. Ever.
Rock solid and cheap

Edit. Op posted weeks ago. Oh well. Better late than never
