Hi
I am insulating my utility room using the " warm batten" method. I have fitted the insulation board to the wall with some concrete screws through the batten and board onto the insulated block behind.
I am disappointed by the fixings. They didn't pull in particularly
tight and I was going to attach some more horizontal battens to add strength and maybe hang some shelves off but I don't have much faith with these fixings.
I used a 6mm pilot hole, I even tried without a pilot whole to see if any better.
I squirted some adhesive foam down the side as a desperate measure!
What shall I do with the other battens to fix them? I was wondering if I could drill a hole and maybe poke some red wall plugs in for the others to get a decent fix?
I can't take this board off but I have a few more to do which I think I will use adhesive and plugs on. Any tips or advice ?
Thanks
