Just notices that our kitchen dinner switch is warm the the touch... it's been in 12months and I cant say ive noticed it before but maybe they dont get dimmed that much. There are 9 mains voltage halogens running off it.

Is this normal?

warm dinner that sounds nice i just got in , cold tongue off misses

If you've got 9 halogens at (lets say) at 50W each, then your dimmer would need to rated at 900W or more. If not it could be the cause of it heating up somewhat.

Dimmers do get warm. That is normal.

It is when they get HOT you should be worried
