What is it with this warmfront crap, they come from miles away to steal work from local tradesmen, it means you dont get the chance to quote for the work, they leave old people with a system they dont understand how to operate.
One installer put a room stat 3ft away from the gas fire on one side and about 4ft from a radiator on the other, needless to say the heating came on for 10 minutes then switched off leaving the rest of the house cold, they melted through the washing machine waste pipe soldering a pipe.
Another old lady I go to has for the second time got no heating or hot water, last time it was because of low pressure, the boiler is up stairs, she cant get upstairs, wonder what it will be tomorrow, she has tried to get through to warmfront on an 0800 number numerous times but just ends up sitting on hold for ever, it's all very well them getting free heating fitted robbing the rest of us, but who is supposed to mop up afterwards when they cant get through on the phone.
She did ask me to service the boiler, I took one look inside the casing, saw the crossed thread on the top of the diverter valve and staining and said I ain't touching it, get the installers to do it, she would if she could get hold of them, it's all very fit and f**k it , they fit it, then it's f**k it, we've got the money, well I wont be fixing it for nothing,
It's all very well fitting it free for them but what about going back to show them how to operate it when they have forgotten and servicing, they all leave it on 24 hours a day as they don't understand it, not very environmentally friendly is it.
