Washing Machine cold water feed

I need to shorten my cold water feed it is on a plastic 15mm pipe what do I need to shorten it. Cheers.

You will need to cut it with a plastic pipe cutter., make sure you use an insert again when redoing the fitting.

Can I not just cut the pipe with a hacksaw, is it possible to buy the inserts singly.

Not if you're using push-fit fittings.

Yes, but probably not from the sheds. They'll probably have them in bags of 10 for 5 quid.
