Hi. Got a strange noise from my Samsung washing machine, most notable when it rotates on slow speed during the early parts of the cycle (while filling).

I've uploaded a video here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-U_fV8XuhPhGbmiOjcvm2-33lxaNW74f/view?usp=sharing (let me know if that doesn't work).

There doesn't appear to be anything in terms of "play" between the inner and outer drum, and it doesn't make a significant noise when it's spun empty. Have checked/cleaned the pump filter.

Any ideas?

Have you got a loose paddle in the inner drum. Do you hear the noise when you turn it by hand. Take the lid off and see if the drive belt and spider are ok.

Nothing loose on the inner drum, and nothing audible when turned by hand (maybe a very very faint "scrape" but I'm not sure if that's just the normal noise of a drum going round!).

What would I be looking for if the drive belt or spider aren't okay?

I had a similar noise on an old Hotpoint years ago. Turned out that the bracket on the outer drum that the damper bolted to was breaking away. Shook all over the place when it did eventually break.
