Hi all.

I'm hoping someone can advise me on how to plumb a washing machine into this floor waste that's fitted with a 40mm reducer.

I've only ever plumbed into a sink p-trap before and I'm struggling to figure out how to plumb it into this floor waste connection.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes ,that standpipe/ trap from Screwfix is what you need . You would use a short length of 40mm waste pipe horizontally from the trap to an elbow ,and from the elbow another piece of pipe , vertically down into the boss.

Might be prudent to change the Boss Adaptor as part of the job, new Adaptor will probably be a bit more flexible, and ensures a snug joint.
