Hi

I've just moved home and am having trouble plumbing my washing machine in.
There is no standpipe to wedge the outlet hose into. Instead there is an extension hose like this

I bought one of the back to back connectors
and chopped off the end of the washing machine hose but while the extension hose seems to fit well into the connector our washing machine hose seems slightly larger diameter and leaks, even with a jubilee clip.

I bought some connectors that screw into the washing machine waste and then push onto the connector but these also seem slightly small for the washing machine hose.

Any ideas what to do or buy?
