I think this more a question for plumbers.
My daughter moved house yesterday.
The washing machine waste hose seems to be the same size as the waste pipe, she is telling me that the waste pipe goes through cupboards & the wall into the exterior drain.
Two questions.
1 without the air break are there problems that may happen
2 how can she connect the two pipes, I have suggested she gets a funnel until I can get there to do anything (not for 3 weeks)

If there is a sink nearby you can buy an adapter for the waste trap so you can plumb the washing machine into the sink waste trap.

Prob with that is the flexible pipe would need to be increased, I imagine there is a max that the pipe can be

Not really but run the flexi pipe high as possible if you connect to a sink trap.

What 2 pipes :?: More info pls.

the washing machine hose probably has a crook in the end that can be hung over the side of a sink.

I would hesitate to use one of these unattended though, in case it came off.

Ask her to take a picture we can look at.

The 2 pipes I refer to are the hose from the machine & the pipe it should go to.
The machine hose will not reach the sink

Fit a proper standpipe trap and Macdee make an adapter that fits on top to allow two appliances to discharge into it.
