Hi...in the process of refitting my bathroom I inadvertantly bought a basin tap with a pop up waste,
I fit this to the basin before I realised that the waste outlet was one and a quarter inch and all my pipework is inch and a half.
Is there a means / connection to increase the waste to one and a half inch to suit my pipework?
or alternatively will I be able to buy another waste in a larger size,
most of the ones i've looked at are the same size as the one I have, and if I can get a larger waste is it likely to fit my basin?

I have tried loads of places but I can't seem to get anything to suit.

thanks for any help....Mike

You can get a 40mm to 32mm reducer. You may need a coupling on the 32mm end to connect to pipe. Handbasins are only usually 32mm waste. Any major plumbing merchants will stock this such as Plumb Center ot PTS etc

You may be better off with a compression reducing coupling in case your pipes are not standard 32mm or 40mm

Cheers.... I managed to get a connection to go from one and a quarter inch to one and a half inch so I think waste ios good, perhaps you could help me with copper tails...see new thread.
thanks again ....Mike
