Waste Fittings

I recently bought a Roca wash basin which came with a waste trap but when trying to connect to standard 32mm compresion fittings, the 32mm pipe is too big by a mm or so and the compression fitting thread is also wrong size.
Anyone know what fittings should be used?
The same has been experienced with a new bath also, although 40mm fittings.

Did, to 2 of them. Starry eyed!!!!!!
Solved myself by speaking with technical. Throw away the fittings in UK. They are not compatible with UK fittings.
